Sounded like they were working on something in one of the rooms next to us. However on our 3rd night (we weren't in the room until late each night we got back around 3-4am) there were scratching and hammering noises on the wall either next to us or above us for HOURS. Room was what we expected (Carson Tower, 15th floor), spacious, older, but comfortable and so suited us just fine. The Filipino girl with a tattoo of a dollar sign on her hand checking us in did not once look up at us, she spoke to us in a fast, fake 'nice', dismissive tone which was very rehearsed. Things to improve: -Check in, our flight was delayed by 5 hours and we didn't get to GN until 2am. Last time we stayed at GN for 1 night and we liked it so this time decided to come back for 3 nights because we liked the different experience that downtown offered.

We've been to Vegas a dozen times, mostly staying on the strip in the big hotels.
